From
The President: To the general
members,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your
support. Also for your vote of confidence in the next two years. I realize that
you expect the board to uphold and continue the values of the CSDL. It
isn’t always easy, in fact, it’s impossible to keep each and everyone
of you happy with all that we do. To continue to
put on tournaments, be they benefits, Top of the Rocks, or even the Pikes
Peak Open, we need all of you to show up and support these events. The last
tournament we held (Hank Schimberg Memorial), the board put in over
seventeen hours per person to set up, run and tear down the venue.
For the time spent, we generated $338.00 for the Castle West
Apartment fire fund. This is not a good return on the resources we put forth. I and the board
of directors would like for all of you to support the local events.
For us to continue to put on these events, we need to feel they are
as important to you as they are to those of us who put the time and effort
into the tournaments. Without your
time and support, we have nothing. Please
continue to support your local dart league and we will try to provide the
best tournament possible. The board would
like to compile a current list of CSDL members along with their address so
we can make a genuine effort to disseminate as much information as
possible (i.e. Newsletters, tournament flyer and information)
Sincerely
Brian Salladay
From
the Vice President
I would like to thank all the people
who helped with the Hank’s tournament and banquet.
Most people don’t know how much it takes to put on these
tournaments. Wyatt and Glenn
drive out to my house to get all the boards. Then drive back in and help put them up.
Most of the time, it is only a few people who help with this.
To keep the tournaments, running on time these people stay most of
the time behind the tables and miss out on playing in the tournaments. One person who is always behind the desk is Bill Hamilton.
I know I need to thank him for this.
And thank, all the other people, who sit behind the tables.
Then when the tournaments are over and everyone is going home. We still have to tear down the board. Put the boards in Glenn and Wyatt trucks to haul back out to
my place. This is a lot of
time these people put in, and we need to thank you.
I would also like to thank Glenn.
On a very cold Sunday he came out to the house and helped cut the
carpet for the boards. A SPECIAL THANKS FROM
ME. We can always use the
help. So if any of you would like to help please do. Sherrie
