From The Board

The CSDL would like to wish Sally Wilmore good luck at the ADO All Star National event to be held in Stamford, Ct. August 11, 2006.

 

News for the CSDL Board:

Mr. Tom Nickerson addressed the board meeting held Monday 10 Jul 06 with concerns about the increase in CSDL membership dues to $40.00.  The increase of $10.00 will be used to assist in paying the entry fee into ADO Regional events for those CSDL members who qualify.

 

How do you qualify? You ask?  The dart league holds in very own qualifying events.  Everyone is invited to participate.  Our next league qualifiers will be held on August 27, 2006 and September 17, 2006 for Cricket Singles.  Location and time are to be determined.  Please check the CSDL website in the near future for location and time.

 

The most recent league qualifying event was held on June 17, 2006 for the US Team.  The qualifying order is as follows:

Dart boards for Sale!

                Rules

RULE 9: CAPTAINS’ DUTIES

A.  A Captain is responsible for the conduct of his team, accuracy of the score sheet, attending all Captains’ Meeting, properly registering new members of his/her team, and ensuring that his “home” location maintains proper standards of equipment.

B.  The Captain is responsible for knowing all relevant information contained in the current League rules, by-laws, and policies.  The Captain will insure that the team knows, understands and abides by these rules.

C.  Captains are responsible for ensuring that all team members’ fees are paid promptly.

D.  Captains are responsible for disseminating League information to their team members.

E.  When required to attend protest hearings the Captain shall provide an acceptable substitute if circumstances prevent his/her attending.

F.  Team Captains are required to attempt reconciliation of all disputes immediately to the mutual agreement of the parties involved.  Only in the event that an agreement cannot be reached should a written protest be filed.  Any deviation from CSDL Rules must be written on the back of the score sheet and signed by both team Captains subject to review by the CSDL Rules Committee.

G.  See Rule 11:  Protests.

H.  Captains must immediately inform the League Statistician of any changes in their roster.  This must be done by the add/drop form provided in the captain’s packet.

I.  Each team must have a designated Co-captain, as well as a Captain.

The CSDL is looking for old trophies for recycling to support the Junior League.  Trophies can be dropped off at Oscars Pub or the Dead Ant Tavern.   Also any Board Member will accept the trophies.

 

 

 

The CSDL board would like to solicit Questions or Comments form the league membership.  Any question or Comment will be answered by the board and the results returned in the next newsletter or immediately if required.
